This series of travel posters explores expressive illustration and color through abstract representations of environments. The work is heavily inspired by Georges Mathieu, particularly his spontaneous, gestural mark making and dynamic compositions. Each poster emphasizes movement and energy over literal depiction, using bold, high contrast color palettes and layered strokes to evoke the atmosphere of a destination.
The compositions were developed through textural overlays and experimental blending techniques to enhance the depth and create a sense of vibrancy, while typography is integrated as a natural extension of the composition rather than a separate element. This approach reinforces the overall fluidity and energy of the designs. This project focused on translating fine art influence into graphic design, while exploring abstraction and expressive visual storytelling within an illustrative format.
